We strive to make your dog's day, every day.
And to provide a unique, fun, and rewarding experience to every pup in our pack. We firmly believe that a force-free, science based approach using positive reinforcement techniques is the only acceptable method of handling or training a dog. At the park we work with your dog on default sits, trades, and recall using positive reinforcement.

Founder, lead walker, and certified force-free dog trainer
I have been working with dogs professionally for over ten years and founded This Dog's Day in July of 2016. After spending a few months assisting a positive reinforcement trainer as a hobby, I realized I wanted to work with dogs professionally.
Within weeks of operation, I had several amazing dog clients, and a profound sense of pride in walking a reactive or shy dog and keeping them safe, calm, and happy with positive techniques. In June of 2017, after hundreds of happy walks and over 1000 miles biked (I biked to walks in the early days), I embarked on the next adventure for This Dog's Day... off-leash park outings!
July 2026 will mark This Dog’s Day’s ten year anniversary. Being able to bring so much excitement and joy to a group of dogs has been and continues to be incredibly rewarding. -
Dog boarder with training experience
Sarah is a former dog-mom who loves hosting pups in her home for a reminder of the joy of their companionship. She has experience with clicker-training and positive training methods for managing dog anxiety, stress, and aggression towards other dogs.
Off-leash dog park
We utilize the beautiful Magnuson Dog Park as our primary off-leash adventure area. This park is always swimming with lots of other pups to socialize and play with, as well as a beach that the dogs LOVE during the summer and small dog area for lots of play and exercise.

A message from Jason:
After 8 years of off-leash park outings, I have carefully chosen my equipment and practices to provide the best experience I can deliver for the dogs. I lead the kind of outing that I would want my dog to attend (which she does), and provide the level of care I would want my dog to receive.
When I am at the park, I am focused and engaged with the dogs, and keeping them engaged with me and each other. We are working on recalls, drops, trades, impulse control, focused walking, agility work, and more.
As part of my training certification, I have made a commitment to myself and the Karen Pryor Academy to continue to educate myself in training methodology and dog behavior.
As part of the dog-walker committee (MODA), I volunteer several times a year to clean and maintain the park the dogs enjoy, personally ensuring it remains a safe and functional space for the dogs.
I work hard to enrich the lives of the dogs in my care, and take pride in the service I am able to provide my community.
